Advice on EV home chargers appreciated

Afternoon everyone,
Having recently taken delivery of my first hybrid company car (and looking forward to the BIK benefit!), if anyone has any advice on the best home chargers, I'd appreciate it. Looked at a few different ones, primarily those which comply with the Gov OLEV grant, there are a few out there if anyone has any experience of having them, the installation, preferred suppliers, any issues you may have had etc etc.
Any feedback, gratefully received.
Cheers,
Andy.

Happy podpoint user here
Installation was good, the engineer showed me how to change the cable for another type if I swapped cars and it's been fine since.
It connects to the wifi and it can give all sorts of reports, but I can't say I bother with it.
It's a nice looking round unit too, but that's not really important to me as it's inside a garage.0 -
I was torn between doing the MSE thing and getting a 32amp commando socket with a discounted OHME cable from Octopus....or going all out for a nice unit from Anderson for probably around 3x the cost.
In the end I decided a nice looking unit outside my house was worth it so ordered the Anderson A2 unit (unexpected bonus at work will be paying for it too, so can't complain!). Hoping to get it next week, so can let you know how I find it. I did have a EO Mini installed at my parents and that's a nice discrete unit. Been using that for around 2 years (obviously not much over the last year) without any issues. The new EO mini Pro is smart, so would qualify for the OLEV grant.
My Father-in-law is a OLEV installer so would recommend him if you are in the Herts/Beds area

Very few people have experience of more that one EV charger.
I’ve got a Zappi 2 as I have solar PV panels, it’s very good. The customer service was off the chart when I had what I considered a minor issue that I think was just a setting. They fedexed a new unit overnight and paid my uninstaller the going rate to swap the units the day after.1 -
That does seem to be the most cost-effective way of getting a smart EVSE.DrEskimo said:...a 32amp commando socket with a discounted OHME cable from Octopus....
One thing to watch out for is that some EVs don't quite conform to the charging standards and some EVSEs don't work well with all vehicles so research your specific combination before committing.
I'm a happy Zappi 1 owner to go with my solar panels. I only paid £214 (after the grant) for it in 2019 though. I doubt I'd pay the £800 or so they seem to cost now.0
