Closing Unused Credit Cards

I am having some trouble closing some credit cards I signed up for but never "activated" or have used. From what I understand, inactive cards can be just as harmful to credit reports as over used ones... Does anyone know how I can shut these cards down with the minimum of fuss (they are Marbles and 118118 Money (I don't even have the physical marbles card anymore)).

Comments

  • Write to the lender and ask them to close it
Having available (unused) credit is good though as it having cards you use every month and pay off in full, even if it's just the odd supermarket trip
