Would an out of warranty yellowing bath panel be covered by Consumer Rights Act?

In June 2018 I bought an expensive P shaped bath with a 2 year warranty. The side panel started to show signs of yellowing before the warranty run out but I could not remember who I bought it from. Eventually I found an e receipt and approached the manufacture who stated it was out of warranty. I left it for a further 6 months but I now have a panel that is uniformly yellow in both the areas subject to sun from 4pm and areas that are in permanent shade. I have read that my beef should be with the seller but they will do nothing stating it is out of warranty despite me claiming I am covered by the consumer rights act 2015.
Is it the opinion here that I would have a valid claim via the small claims court if I quoted the consumer rights act, as the yellowing is making my bathroom looking like it is now 15 years old and needs a makeover. I supplied photos of the bath to the manufacture and the seller showing a nasty shade of yellow but they are not shifting. All I want is a new panel.

You have a potential claim but would need to prove the problem is unreasonable for the products age/ price point etc and not caused by your misuse. This is normally achieved with an engineers report as to the cause and reasonableness0

Oh, I wish that the warranty covered such things.
Is the panel still available to buy? If so, just buy one and get it fitted in place. Once the panel is discontinued, it will become ever more difficult to resolve.1 -
If you can't get a resolution from the supplier you can probably remove the yellowing using PVC cleaner. The solvent based ones are generally seen as better by those in the trade.
