Me and my finance are getting married next month, and about 2 weeks later we are hoping to go on a family holiday. The booking is in her maiden name as is her current passport, but does she need a new passport before we travel on the basis her last name has changed to mine, or can she use her maiden name for that holiday and then get a new passport when back?

Her last name doesn’t need to change to yours. It’s not obligatory, so she could leave the official name change till after the holiday if she does want to take your surname.Particularly as the booking is in her current surname anyway.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

As long as passport and ticket match it’s fine.You mention family? What surname(s) do your kids have?0

Also ensure that the surname matches the one registered with NHS in case you need to use their app for proof of vaccination.
