Is there a way to find which bank issued a credit card I owned some 20 years ago?
My bank doesn't provide statements that far back nor does my credit history either
I have the long number and that it was a MasterCard but nothing else.
Thank you

The first six digits are the BIN (Bank Identification Number) and there are lookup tools such as https://www.bincodes.com/bin-checker/1

Even if you find the bank. Odds on they will not have any records going back that far.Life in the slow lane2

You could do a DSAR and send it off, that would get you a copy of everything they hold on you, assuming you mean this 20 year old card is with the current bank. If it's for a closed account more than 6 years since closure there is a likely chance that they will have deleted the records under DPA/GDPR1
