Clydesdale to Virgin current account

I had an email in March to say the account would change to Virgin M Plus account on 19 May.
I've just received the new virgin branded card, but nothing else.
Anyone know what's going on ?
Humm, logged in and it appears to have changed.
Just I no longer need to keep £3K in it, and can be reduced to £1K ????

There is supposedly no change to the current account except the branding and interest is now only paid on the first £1000, but at 2% instead of 0.85%.I've had an email saying the Virgin branded card is coming, but it's not arrived yet. There's discussion on https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6252059/yorkshire-and-clydesdale-bank-direct-current-account/p1

Ms Descrabled had an email saying that the new card was on the way but my card arrived first unannounced. So that's par for the course with CYB or Virgin. Not impressed with the change to Virgin.Reminds me of Santander and their many computer systems that didn't talk to each other. Credit card, savings, and current accounts not working seamlessly.0

I did get the email about the new card before it arrived. However the post is quite slow where I live!0

If that is all it takes for something to not impress you, then you seriously need to work on your expectations.Descrabled said:Ms Descrabled had an email saying that the new card was on the way but my card arrived first unannounced. If you have changed your account name, chances are the account name won't be automatically changed to the new name.0

I got my new virgin debit card today - quite unusual as its the first card I have seen with the account number and sort code printed on the back of the card not the front.
The account name on the app has also been changed to the M plus account.
I will miss the old Yorkshire bank blue though - the Virgin red is a bit harsh!0 -
It's a weird new card.
Seams portrate design, with a mouse bite out one end (I guess this helps the blind)0 -
all new debit cards from all banks come in those shapes now1

That's a complete exaggeration. Not all debit cards from all banks come in those shapes at all; it's only some of them. Halifax, Lloyds, HSBC, First Direct and Barclays still have the traditional landscape debit cards, not portrait ones. Out of those, only First Direct has moved to non-embossed cards with the numbers on the back and a notch on the side. The rest are still embossed, with no notch.colsten said:all new debit cards from all banks come in those shapes now1 -
I did not say that all debit cards from all banks come in those shapes. I said all new ones do, as they do. Obviously, many banks still have old stock to use.0
