Fake cinema tickets

I bought odeon cinema tickets recently from ebay. They looked fine (I think they were from the matercard offer). However, another ebayer contacted me saying that they are fake because they dont have a serial number on them.

Im not sure whether to believe this other ebayer or not. The seller by the way is no longer a registered user.

Was wondering whether the odeon cinema tickets from the mastercard offer was supposed to have a serial number on them. Also if they are fake what do I do?

Thanx

do you know why the seller is no longer registered? bad feedback?

I already used 1 of the tickets in my local small cinema before the other ebayer emailed me. They accepted the ticket but Im not sure whether this is because it was a small cinema. Im just worried that they may not be real and I want to make sure before using them again in the cinema. I would hate it if the cinema thought I was a crook.

I phoned odeon but the lady on the phone wasnt sure either. So Im at bit stuck really.
I just want to know whether they are supposed to have a serial number or not.

Dont know about all odeon tickets but i often win then from radio stations etc and none of them have ever had serial numbers on them. Nobody at odeon has ever questioned any of them either. I think if someone was going to fake tickets they would probably do it for something that would make them more money than cinema ones would. Dont worry about it - use your tickets and enjoy your film :)

    People fake the strangest things.

I once bought some newspaper vouchers for a free pizza at Pizza Hut (the ones where you collect tokens throughout the week) They arrived, looked fine and I gave some to my brother and his friends to use that day, which they did without a problem.

A few days later, I got a message from another user saying they were fake. Sure enough, they were. Whilst the voucher itself was real, the individual tokens were not (you could see this if you peeled them off slowly) It was a great copy and I never would have realised had she not told me.
