Any idea who has initiated this - presumably a third party rather than the directors?indespair73 said:The company I work for has had a first gazette notice for compulsory strike-off ..... I would not get worried yet if all you have seen is a first notice for strike off. Have your company said anything to you about it?0 -
No nothing mentioned. I believe full strike off is 50 days after first. Just wanted to know our position if it did get dissolved??0

If a company is dissolved the cash and assets are transferred to the Crown. The company ceases to exist as at the date of dissolution.1

So what does this mean for employees? Redundancy / hol pay?Thrugelmir said:If a company is dissolved the cash and assets are transferred to the Crown. The company ceases to exist as at the date of dissolution.0 -
Are 100% sure this is actually the company that employs you. A lot of companies have complex structures with lots of sub companies that are actually little more than empty shells. No damage if an empty shell gets struck off.0

lots of companies sail close to the wind with Strike Offs.
What is your gut feel ? That is likely to be as important.
Do they pay suppliers late ? Problems with cash flow ? Wages ?0
