in Credit cards
Hi there, I’ve inherited some money and am looking to pay off some debts, I would like to ask creditors for discounts if I clear the debt and I’d heard Martin Lewis has a list of companies and what % discount they will offer, does anyone know where this list is as I’m struggling to find it.thanks you in advance for your help

Lenders such as credit card companies may be willing to offer settlement terms but only on longstanding debts where the debtor has a history of failing to keep up with repayments, i.e. where there's considered to be a genuine risk of not getting their money back in full.0

Are you in default with them currently? If not forget it, they will want full repayment... I guess wanting back all that they are owed, when they think you are managing repayments without issue, shouldn't come as a surprise!
