Nah, life will continue. All will blow over, just as people can start a job and decide no it is not for them.
I hope that those Employers who did naughty things and wrongly claimed Furlough have chickens come to roost, but really I greatly doubt it and perhaps they need every sympathy to do such a thing to start with if it genuinely wasn't needed.
Employment sure isn't what it use to be (eg. job for life unless a vocation is being chosen) but jobs and opportunities are out those for them who want it - Got an application on the go with a long closing date! need to say no thank you to someone asking if I could be interested in care work, just chosen which one of two interviews (both companies suffered with Covid I would have said but are hiring) best to go to this week and that's with remaining employed as best I can. (indeed there was no competition for my current role from the many said to be looking for work but it has kind of worked out ideal, no need to give up job to look for once and dip out on loss of wages, if as I am prepared to work weekends instead)
I'll remain hopeful one day this here job will be someone's great find when they find themselves 'in the need'.
