Home buyers report, damp

Hi there, just looking for some advice on a property we are purchasing.
We had our home buyers report back recently and they have found "the inside of the external wall has damp due to the ground level being raised", there is no evidence of damp inside the property but he then went off saying it could be costly if the timbers have been effected by the damp etc. He also mentioned there is a serious lack of ventilation bricks in the property but we aren't urgently concerned by those.
The lady selling is extremely slow, (6 weeks later and she still hasn't filled in the property info & fixtures fittings forms) since informing the estate agents we are concerned about the damp issues, communication has stopped altogether.
I have contacted a damp specialist to see if they can come and have a look at it for us but I was wondering if this is something that anybody else has had come back on a survey/how destructive is it to get the work done and costs etc? The only reason I ask about how destructive is the rectification work is because we have a baby.
Any advice/info will be appreciated thanks!

If you do want to get it looked at make sure you use an actual specialist, not a PCA registered salesman....If the issue is just a raised ground level then the costs to fix will be minimal, a few hours with a spade and some bags of gravel from your local DIY store.0

Some thoughts & suggestions for dealing with elevated ground levels here - https://www.pavingexpert.com/dpc01If you have hard paving up against the wall (slabs or concrete), the effort required to dig it out will be higher, but still well worth it in the long run.
