Initial parking St Michael's Mount, appeal failed, popla appeal or give up

Ticket from St Michaels Mount. ANPR, ticket in post, within timescales. Parked 05:50-06:50, car park was empty but 24hr. Photos don't have times on them (or very small and hard to read). Appeal was dismissed in 7 minutes by Initial. NTK has all that is needed. I don't know what signs were in the car park at the time, but they're bound to be acceptable.
Do I appeal to popla or not bother? I can't find any grounds to appeal.

Your choice !! , not ours to make

Sometimes a bear is a bear , meaning if the cap fits !! Etc

    Grounds for any appeal are

    No landowner authority
    Poor and inadequate signage
    The BPA CoP
    POFA 2012
    The CRA 2015
Driver not identified if they failed to comply with POFA

The third post in the newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum , in announcements , has pointers on grounds for appeal

Plan A is the best option , it ALWAYS is

You tried plan B and that was rejected

    Plan C is Popla

Plans D is Court , within 6 years , with a cost of about £200 if you lost in Court

Those are the facts , but it's your choice to make , pay or fight , lose and it could cost you more
  • photos from the anpr do not have a timestamp (its too small to read or zoom in on). Grounds for appeal?

appeal on any and all grounds you think are relevant, the decision is either a yes or a no, acceptance or a rejection
  • I can't see if to be pofa 2012 compliant, do they need to show the date on the photos of the car?

Did you check out the POFA?  There is a link to it in the NEWBIE sticky and here in case you missed it: -

  • Did you purchase a ticket for your stay?
  • I did not buy a ticket. I "thought" it was not 24 hours. We were there very early, car park was empty. Yes I should have read the sign.

    Hi
I am very new to MSE and do not know how to start a new thread, hence I am using this one - I'm sorry.
We have had an incident at Marazion car park two weeks ago , wherein we used the short stay carpark, spent two hours over on the Mount and put our registration into the machine on exit - the machine only charged us £1.50 (for over two hours??) and we have received a PCN for not paying at all - please, any Marazion residents, did we use the wrong machine, should we have done pay and display (we thought it was pay on exit as there were cameras - were we wrong?)? The cameras photographed the car's reg on entry and exit and I would have thought that was linked to the charge machine as the amount to be paid appeared on the screen only when our registration was entered.
I sent a screenshot of our payment from my bank statement to Initial and the appeal has been rejected out of hand as we paid under the amount for two hours.
If anyone is thoroughly conversant with this carpark and knows what we did wrong, please would they reply😁
