Green Energy Advice Bureau - Threatening Letter

I have had a threatening letter from PWW, the collections arm of Green Energy Advice Bureau. It is for an Administration Fee for a Gas and Electric contract that did not go "live" - mainly because the switching service that they offered was rejected by the gas/electric companies due to issues with dates of contracts starting and ending. It's a bit of a mess but I wondered if anybody else had had such a letter from Green Energy Advice Bureau. It's only for a few hundred pounds (it's for the small charity that I work for, not me personally). Can I just ignore this? Will they really take us through the courts for such a small amount? Can they? Please note that the money that they claim we owe is for a "Non Live Administration Fee" .

Business energy is a completely different set of rules to domestic energy. If you really do owe them the money according to the contract you entered into with them then it is likely they may take you to court for "a few hundred pounds". You need to take due diligence on any contract you enter into.

Get legal advice. You need to know what your defence against this claim is going to be.
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
Yes, read your contract and T&C's; if it states you are liable then you are, if it doesn't then relay that to the company and get them to prove their costs are founded and legit and they aren't just "having a go". If you are liable, pay or the costs of the "recollections" fees may rise highly. Check though about clauses about if they didn't supply the service but attempted to, ie the situation you have as after all if it goes to Court, the contract terms agreed are likely to be enforced by the Judge.
