Natwest lets customers set daily transfer limits

This sounds a good idea - set your own daily transfer/payment limit to anything between £0 and £20,000.
Not yet live in my app.

Yes, a good idea. The default starts at £5000, and you need to use a card reader to authorise any change in the limit. One presumes this limit change process will also come with big bold capital letters warnings about APP scams...0

Got an email from RBS about this a few weeks ago.0

It's live now in Natwest and RBS, and presumably in Ulster, too. They have changed the daily limits to £5K. Changes (to max £20k) can only be done in online banking, not in the app. You need to use your card reader if you want to increase your limit, even if you have activated biometric transaction approvals in the app. You can reduce the limits without a card reader.
Leaving the card reader nonsense and the lack of app support to one side, this is a facility all banks should offer.
