Help.

Hi,
I purchased the property in February. Since this purchase, I have been plagued with issues, Initially, the cooker was not installed, in which I’d let it slide as the house came with a fully fitted and ‘functional’ kitchen; however, it has come to ahead now, when I have used the bath for the first time and I have discovered there are issues with the plumbing, the water from the bath flooding (the water accessing the wrong pipe) my kitchen, 20th May 2021, causing 4 separate leaks in the bathroom, damaging the ceiling downstairs and potentially the structure of the property. Due to this, I contacted and emergency plumber via my home insurance, in which they stated that the plumbing work requires ‘ripping out’ and redoing and that it was not fit for purpose.. At this time, the pipe work had become blocked.
Due to the blockage, sewage water collected into my bathtub and due to the weight of the sewage water and poor installation work of the plumbing, sewage water leaked into the kitchen downstairs (again) and has now contaminated my kitchen with fecal matter, rendering the kitchen useless.
As this house was sold as ‘ready to move straight in’ it is now uninhabitable and no issues were raised with the plumbing by the estate agents or Home Survey Report.
Where do I stand?

I would start by changing your title from 'Help' to something that explains better what the problem is so that readers may know if they can help you before going in to the post.

Is this a new build property bought from a developer?
Did you have a survey done? What type?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)1 -
Im not sure what you are asking here? Is it a new build property?
The EA would not know about the state of the plumbing and why would they, they just advertise and show people round the house. They don't carry out quality checks on the property.
A homebuyers survey wouldn't check the condition of the pipes either and wouldn't be able to identify leaks as they only survey things visible to the eye. Check the T&Cs of your surveyor to see what they check in their service.
Unfortunately you'll likely have to meet the cost of any new pipework0 -
Sorry for your problems, but why would you continue using plumbing which was leaking and advised "not fit for purpose" without getting it repaired? Even more so, why would you continue using as soon as it became apparent that sewage water was backing up in the bath?
Unless this is new build with some sort of warranty then these issues are entirely down to you to get repaired.0 -
Estate agents don't check plumbing.
It took you three months to discover the problem. Good luck blaming the surveyor for not finding it in less time.1 -

What EXACTLY did your survey say about the plumbing?2 -
It does not look as if OP has purchased a newbuild as per previous threads. So the cooker was not left? By agreement?
The OP purchased in Feb the bath was first used on 20th May. Resulting in a blockage. Perhaps due to a blocked exterior drain that has backed up all water and sewage discharge from property.
The Op continued to use the toilet, water supply, etc thus building up the blockage.
The answer to the ops problem is that the owner pays for the repairs. Insurance may help. But depends on contract conditions. But I would say not.
The OP has 6 threads open on the forum's at the moment, since Sept.
Non of which the OP has unfortunately came back to reply or thank anyone for the multiple replies advice etc given.
OP the only way to get constructive advice to your "Help" post and your other posts is to actually come back and answer/discuss with the people who are trying to help you.

I think we may have a 'post it and run' fabricator.
