Intestate Interim Payment

I'm beneficiary in an Intestate Estate being dealt with by a reputable firm of geologists.
This has been ongoing for 6yrs now. The reason being many beneficiaries are in the USA. They have found all beneficiaries but several are over the age of 90yrs and are not responding to the Geneologists. This is quite common and the Geneologists are attempting to gain their trust.
The Geneologists have offered me an Interim Payment through their solicitors dealing with the Estate. Everything is up to date Probate wise etc. Estate value and the Geneologists percentage fee for me have been agreed and the Solicitor has full details of all the research and figures.
Does anyone know how long it takes for a solicitor to process an Interim Payment once it's reached this stage and what the procedure is?
Does it take days, weeks or months?
Thanks.

It'll take as long as it takes them to make the payment.
So it could be from today onwards.1 -
Yes, one of those, but happily not years! If your identity has already been satisfactorily proven, and you've provided all the information requested in respect of bank details etc, then hopefully payment should be in your bank account within the next 6-8 weeks maximum.Fonabide said:I'm beneficiary in an Intestate Estate being dealt with by a reputable firm of geologists.

Does it take days, weeks or months? The genealogists have already made payments to the solicitor which are being held in escrow?
If so, it'll be as long as it takes for the solicitor to arrange a transfer from the escrow account to yours?

They did. Twelve stems to track down spread all over the USA going back years. Thanks for your help.Keep_pedalling said:

I hope there's no friction between all the Beneficiaries...

It'll be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end....0 -
Nope, no friction whatsoever. My entitlement was agreed 6yrs ago. I'm the only beneficiary in the uk. The rest in the USA. Was informed that there was no reason for me to wait it out any longer as the delays are all in the USA.
I just wondered how what the interim payment involved and how long it takes. I'm also the Administrator in the Estate so they have all my id. Been ongoing so long I just want it over.
