Hi all

I have 2 cc one ith Halifax and one with barcalaycard. I don't use Halifax that much as it attracts interest. My 0 percent deal with barcalaycard is ending in September. I have a balance on the card which most of it is wedding funds related due to using it for booking things. We have the money to pay the wedding funds off and I am paying off my personal balance myself and should pay that by soetemver. So what I'm asking is it worth trying for a new credit card as there is still things j need to book for the wedding to put depsosts down on which I want the protection when I pay the deposit.

If its worth it when should I apply for a card? I did have a rough look few weeks back and there's a virgin card for 27 months I think.

It's worth it if it would benefit you.

If you have insufficient funds, or want a 0% deal, or need s75 protection, then it would be worth having a usable credit card.

The sort of card you should apply for - and when you apply for it - depends on what purpose you want to put it to.

I want the card ready in time to be able to use it in case we find things to book. Thanks.

I could apply for one now but I would have an overlap.

    An overlap of what?

Apply for it a couple of months before you need it, but have a back up plan if you're reliant on an interest free offer.

The Lloyds one is better by one month (21 - 20 = 1).

Well I got a successful application email for the Lloyd's dual credit card. Not sure on limit as I had problems with setting up an online account and I can't refister for one now because I don't have the card number
