POPLA Appeal rejected due to wrong file format?

Hello,
Sorry if this is covered in another thread but I couldn't find anything. I made an appeal to POPLA based on the advice elsewhere on this site, about half an hour after I clicked 'send' on my appeal I received a decision which included these comments:
"The appellant has provided evidence to support the appeal; however, the initial appeal and statement to POPLA documents are not in the recommended formats, and cannot be read by the POPLA systems. Consequently these cannot be considered."
I'm fairly certain I submitted my (lengthy and (I thought) well-evidenced) case via the only format available and I can't seem to now go back and see how it was submitted or understand what formats are accepted.
Has anyone else come across this with POPLA? Understandably there doesn't seem to be a way to dispute the decision, but it doesn't feel like I have had anything like a fair hearing from them.
Thanks for any advice.

The advice on this forum is to send the appeal as a PDF attachment with an explanatory note in the appeal text box stating this.
What is the name of the PPC please?
What document format did you use?
What happened when you complained to the landowner?
How close to the appeal deadline were you? If you were within the 32 days for which a PoPLA code is valid you could try resending it. If that doesn't work then complain to PoPLA that their inadequate computer system failed to recognise a standard computer file format.I married my cousin. Usually people upload a pdf , and choose OTHER so ensure that it's in that format , which is a well known publishers business format , so not a word doc or docx etc
If you cannot upload it as a pdf , email it and ask for email receipt2 -

1. Euro Car Parks
2. I have a PDF version but the only thing I imagine may have happened is I could have accidentally uploaded the .pages version.
3. Landowner (Sainsbury's) played the 'nothing to do with us' defence and referred me to the parking company. They wouldn't discuss it further.
4. I received my POPLA code quite a few months ago, my appeal was paused due to the pandemic, so it's no longer valid. My case is also in the 'rejected' category and I don't seem to be able to resubmit anything. I will take your advice and complain directly to POPLA. The parking company's debt collectors have already promptly started sending me chasing letters!1
