We got a frozen black forest cheesecake from Lidl which we started last night. Not particularly nice - the outside edge was a nice chocolate cheesecake but further in the cherry flavour was quite artificial. I'm not a fan of BF gateau in general but OH loves them but even he said this wasn't very good. Only about £2 or something so not the end of the world, will likely be chucked if not eaten today.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. As @Katiehound said, no big reductions on Christmas stock in my Aldi but I did get some jars of 'Christmas' dried sage at 29p and chopped lazy garlic for 49p plus I was there at the right time for many meat and fish packs reduced between 30 and 75% off. 👍1

Milk chocolate digestives, I usually buy them from Lidl and they're fine, last week I bought some from Asda and they were horrible, left a vile after taste, they went in the bin, these are own brand not McVities0

Aldi have their usual January stock of Gullon no added sugar biscuits. 99p each, and displayed in a brand-specific shelf unit.
I like the Oat variety, although the pack picture is possibly not the most accurate (they are not like Hob-nobs at all).0 -
Aldi still piled high with mince pies today! ( and puddings,) they are not getting desperate....yet!Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
