Pet insurance claim

Can insurance  make you pay for a previous  year policy error ? We have a ongoing  claim which has partly been paid out but on the claim it states premium deduction from the amount  being paid , we have contacted  the company and they stated its for last yrs policy which was in error like this years policy regarding  dogs age , we have been forced to pay extra for this years policy to , if any body has got any advice  we would be grateful

    If you are not happy with your insurance company's decision follow the complaints procedure in your policy document.
    However, consider if you wish to continue claiming for the condition as  the company are likely to refuse further cover and you will not be able to claim for that condition from any new policy.
