Advice on 'Voluntary Redundancy '

My husband reached retirement age recently and has been furloughed since December.
He was asked to attend a meeting to talk about redundancy .
We have found out that an apprentice has been employed and is doing my husband's job.
Also he signed a letter agreeing to be furloughed until the end of June but they now want to change this and start to pay him his gardening leave entitlement instead . He feels his gardening leave entitlement should begin when his furloughed time ends.
He has worked there over 25 years.

Why have you given this thread the title of "Advice on `Voluntary Redundancy`"? How has it been presented in the "meeting to talk about redundancy"?Maisiealbert said:My husband reached retirement age recently and has been furloughed since December.
