Is it worth keeping unusual 50p and £2 coins?

I collect the all commemorative 10p, 50p, £2, and have an undated 20p. Kew Gardens (210,000 minted) are selling for upwards of £150, 2011 dated Olympic coins are selling for around £70/£80 for a full circulated set, (offside rule £15, judo £10, wrestling £10, and tennis £4) uncirculated (or BUNC) are selling for around the £200 mark per full set, and undated 20p going for around the £50 mark. I wouldn't hold them expecting to make money on them, as 95% are only worth face value or slightly over. I also have an Isle of Man 2011 £2 toshi cat, which is valued at around £250 (only 9000 ever minted). i would recommend looking at the Change Checker website, which has a list of the rarest 10p, 50p, and £2 coins with mintage figures (up to 2019 as 2020 figures are not released yet). Hope this helps0

I have one "Kew Gardens" 50p, and one of the undated 20p coins, but I'm not sure either of them are worth all that much. I just keep the rest because I quite like them.
Unless a significant amount have changed hands at £150 then that amount doesnt constitute their worth.
Collectors will pay a premium to complete collections, but that doesnt necessarily equate to their worth and your ability to get that much for them
Edited to add
Providing, of course, you can prove it is not counterfeitIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales1 -

There is the odd genuine rarity such as the "Kew Gardens" 50p piece, but other than that I think it's unlikely, especially if they are like mine - just coins that have turned up in day to day change. Collectors usually like "mint uncirculated" if they're going for modern coins, as far as I can see.I need to think of something new here...0

Before making that offer, be aware that the majority of those Kew Garden coins now circulating are counterfeits that aren't even worth 50p.
