Being turned down for Landlord’s Insurance due to supermarket below.

Hello. I am buying a buy to let apartment in a purpose built newbuild property. My apartment is directly above the commercial space left for a supermarket. I have been turned down certain insurances due to this and those who will give me one will give me a quote almost 5x more. Can someone explain why this is and where I can look for better prices? Thank you.

What covers are you looking for? As its part of a block I'd assume the freeholder is responsible for the buildings insurance.0

Yes, the building insurance is covered by the ground rent I’ll pay.Sandtree said:What covers are you looking for? I will be renting via a letting agent too if that helps.0
