If I want to sell my house and then buy a new one roughly what would be the cost breakdown if old house worth £250k and new house £300k
E.g
Conveyancing?
Removals: £400
Estate Agent fees?
Stamp duty?

Which part of the country are you in? Costs in London and SE England much higher than other areas. As a very rough guide:
Conveyancing: Sale £500, Purchase £1000 = £1500 (incl. VAT)
Removals: Amazed if you can get this for £400 unless you have very few belongings or are doing the heavy lifting mostly yourself.
Estate Agent Fees - usually about 1% of sale price, i.e £2500
Stamp Duty: Assuming this will be your only property, if purchase by 30 September in England £2500, if after £5000
Are you buying with a mortgage? If so don't forget fees for bank and broker.
