Faulty Tumble Dryer after 15 months

Hi,
Can anybody advise on how to get JD William to actually do something to either repair or replace my 15-month-old candy tumble dryer. I keep on quoting the consumer rights act 2015 and the bit about it being unsatisfactory quality, unfit for purpose etc but they are really being I feel obstructive.
I have 2 online chats where they have said they will either and or send an engineer or pick it up. Nothing has been done as yet.
Feels like I am backing my head against the wall with them.
Any help or advice, please.

Have they asked for a report?  Perhaps they've heeded your point about the CRA2015 and realise that after 15 months the onus is on you to prove a fault.  They don't have to do anything until you do.  Have you done so?
  • It shows error code E21 which is quite a command fault. I am going to send them that letter that is on this site regarding the CRA and see where I go from there.
    Thanks for your comment.

"Error E21 usually means excess water left in condenser or condenser pump not working/pumping to the reservoir. This can be due to wet condenser and/or blocked/faulty pump. Unplug the appliance and remove the condenser, clean the area and let the condenser dry for a while."

Have you done this?  If you have and the error code is still showing, it sounds as if the pump isn't working.  The retailer may ask you to get someone out to inspect it (or send someone themselves, for which they are allowed to charge you), and if the fault is down to something like a poor quality part or assembly, as opposed to misuse/abuse, they (the retailer) can decide whether to repair the machine, replace it, or offer a partial refund.  If you pay for that inspection and the fault is inherent, then you can claim the cost of the inspection.

As above, it might not be a 'fault' as such as these error codes are more like warnings than an indication that something has broken (though that's a possibility).

I've had a similar "fault" with my Bosch condenser tumble drier.  Look in the manual for instruction of how to check for blockages in the pump mechanism.  In my case the first instance was a small stone preventing the pump impeller from rotating, meaning that the excess water was not cleared, leading to the error code.  Once removed the error cleared and it worked fine again.
