Hi allI set up a direct debit for my credit card. I checked my credit score this morning for April and it is marked as paid. I guess I will have to see what it shows in a few weeks time, as I know it takes 6 to 8 weeks to show any current data.0

You can choose your own DD date but the firm will just adjust the statement date so you always get the payments taken properly. One other point, not all lenders allow you to do fixed sum DDs0

E.g. I get my statement on 13th of the month, for all the previous month's spending, DD is taken on the 1st of the next month. If your April one was late by only a day, they may do it on the May update, or perhaps even not record it at all given it was paid almost immediately. Also check all 3 agencies just in case (Clear Score, Credit Karma, MSE Credit Club)1

MSE Credit Club is a free way to see Experian (I assume/hope you are not paying for the "service" Experian offer). Clear Score (and Credit Karma) are the free front ends for Equifax and TransUnion (ex-Call Credit/Noddle)
