Damage due to negligence

Hi all newbie to the forum but after advice , 6 weeks ago Cadent gasses contractors were doing pipework replacement in our area and they cut through my electric cables ,this caused the house to have no electric directly however we plugged an extension into our neighbours property , on the second day of Western electric attempting to find the break and getting the electric back on it was decided that the break was under the property so I would have to have a re-wire so I am now left with this ugly electric box outside of my porch 2" wires leading around the house, the floorboards had to be taken up to get electric to my consumer unit. Cadent came out and offered £30 per day compensation which they raised to £50 and then £60 can anyone tell me my rights going forward

Your rights are for your financial loss caused by their negligence. Unless your home has been made uninhabitable then I would imagine the losses are minimal given they are doing the repairs themselves0
-
You are entitled to your actual losses, with a little on top for the inconvenience.
If they are offering to resolve the issue and do all of the work as well as £60 per day, that seems fair to me - it's more than some people's wages.0 -
I have to say that I'd be very happy with the £60 a day, like mattyprice4004 says it's a full wage for some.

In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0

I assume it is £60 a day then also putting everything back as it was before?
Sounds OK to me...Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Ugliness is in the eye of the beholder, can you provide a picture?0
