Missives Process New Build Scotland

Hi all,
I'm a FTB buying a new build in Scotland and looking for some advice.
We had our Mortgage offer through on Monday which i forwarded to our Conveyancing Solicitor and asked about next steps.
I had no response until i chased on Tuesday to which the response was 'I've not got my copy yet, but when i do we can progress missives'.
Is an electronic PDF not good enough? Will they only act when they've got a paper copy in their possession?
From this point what is normally required to complete missives and how long does it typically take? (We've got until 4th June to sign)
I've seen a copy of the contract sent from the developer to our solicitor already so think the ball is currently in the court of our solicitor.
Many thanks

They will need their instructions from the bank - not clear from your post whether they've received those at all (albeit electronically) or only the copy of the offer you've sent them.

I wouldn't get too concerned about the "deadline" though - in practice the builders aren't going to flounce off and remarket it unless you're really not progressing matters at all.
