Morning, hugs if you need one. Gers as always you and your Mum are in my thoughts as you travel the road, I am sure the palliative care team will keep your Mum comfortable.I know you are tackling a big clear out, but please make time for yourself and get some rest.
Bright sun here but its chilly, we are off to the little chapel for coffee after I have been up to the post office, I had to leave an IOU last time I did not have enough change for our usual contribution to the coffee fund.
I had the sitting room window open yesterday, the wind blew a pot of cuttings straight off on to the carpet, I picked most of the compost up using the little Dyson, left the rest to dry and then used the Gtec to clear up waht was left. Thankfully no stain on the carpet...phew.
We spent a small fortune at the garden centre yesterday, we also treated ourselves to coffee and a toasted tea cake so did not need any lunch. The mince went down well for supper.
I have just cooked 2 salmon fillets, we prefer it cold than hot, so once it cools down it will go into the fridge, Will have it with buttered new potatos and peas.7 -
Gers thinking of you and your DM, I hope that the team can keep DM peaceful. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)8

Morning all, hugs if you need one, especially Gers & DM, my heart goes out to you
.
Fairly bright morning here, nice in the park.Nothing much planned apart from DGS pickup later & DS will join us at home with DGD.DH has bought some paint for the hall, it really needs it. I'll take a pic of all the photos displayed on the wall, then I know where to put them back afterI'm thinking a mixed platter for tea, bread, cheese ,olives etc - no cooking with the kids being here, so I better make a loaf in readiness. Last night we had some lamb chops from the farmers market, and I made a Mary B recipe that our veg man put in the box. It's usually a soup recipe, but this was a fennel, onion and potato gratin with parmesan on top, I really enjoyed it for a change.Right ,better get on, enjoy your outing TA x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all
We seem to have nothing but rain atm its rained most of the night but stopped now and more due later I hope its dry for my dog walk later.
I am happy to report that I have tracked down the correct tablets !! I have two months worthbut at least its a start the pharmisist has told me he will get them in for me in future so fingers crossed.
We took the dogs out yesterday evening for the second walk and stopped off at the pub for a quick drink on the way back it was lovely sitting out in the sun but then the black clouds came over and we made a quick dash home. I cooked salmon steaks with Jersey Royals asparagus and peas which was really tasty, so I shall do the roast today instead.
The friend who I walk with (she walks her neighbours pup for them ) the puppy is called George and he is best friends with dd;s pup, anyway they have found out that George is losing his sight its a heredatory disease and there is nothing to be done, he is only 15 months oldthey think he will be completly blind in a year, its so sad he is only a puppy, poor little mite, we will continue to meet for our walks and hopefully he will live a good a life as he can.
Gers I am sorry things are bad for you and dear mum, sending lots of love xxx
Have good days all xx11 -
Morning all from mehefinland
Its been a while since i posted so a quick resume:
Lady across road passed in her sleep last week. Ambulance and police with bluelights turned up at 7.30 which is always a bad sign. Saw her Richard (abbrv.) of a son a few days later ( walks up and down the road with a parrot on his shoulder) who brought us up to date.
Laganlongneck had colic AGAIN. 2 vets visits and lots of ouch injections but she recovered eventually. Another big bill to come.Scooby has decided she is in lurve with her ( and in season to boot) so lots of squeels sp? at the moment.
Charlie Fox has decided its much more interesting to watch the bunnies, than chase them. Field is getting like Watership Down. Found out that one of the neighbours feeds him, so he isnt doing his job of keeping the numbers down as a result. Will have to have a quiet word .
Horsepital have decided that I can continue glaucoma care under a local optician. They didn't think to tell me though!! Hence a rather suprised Mehefin when said optician rang me up to make an appointment. But I already have one sez I. Cue lots of phonecalls but sorted now.Relief as getting into main hospital in Cardiff is a real pain.
Ruby - Sallylabrador has inherited cataracts and is slowly going blind too. She compensates extremely well with nose and hearing though. Admittedly an old girl now , but they do adapt quite well. Shame in such a young dog.
Gers, thinking of you and Mum. Went through something similar with my Dad . Hang on in there.
Hugs and Spoons as always
Mehefin

Gers - thinking of you and your Mum.
Looks like another day of showers here.
Popped round to SA for a poncho fitting - asked to add another repeat of colours - no problem as I have plenty of yarn left.
Got a date for the SA craft fair now so must get a wiggle on with makes.
