BOS RE: OUTGOING P

Hi
I have a current account with Nationwide, and have received a couple of credits to the account this year - one in March and the other in May (on different dates as well), and for different amounts - one for £40, the other for £47.46 - so there doesn’t appear to be any connection between them except the narrative.
The statement has the details “Bank credit BOS RE: OUTGOING P” for both receipts, with no other information provided. I have spoken with Nationwide who have no extra information except a reference number for one of the payments, but that doesn’t tie up to anything I am aware of.
Google isn’t turning up much in the way of answers, so I wondered if anyone else might have an idea?
Thanks in advance

No, they can see the source of credits if they choose to do so but may require a different department.
Bank credit just means BACS or Faster Payment.0 -
An obvious question is, have you ever had dealings with Bank of Scotland (or just possibly Halifax - HBOS)?

Hi! I've just had the very same thing appear on my Halifax account! I'm wondering if you ever found out what this was?MatchMan42 said:Hi

I’ve recently exercised the sale of my employers share scheme and the funds I got this morning were for the leftover of my savings which didn’t equate to the price of a full share. Could it be that?0 -
Snap we have also had this yesterday bank have no idea going to ring try again today hopefully, were with santander hubby has do e some share saves but amounts don't add up anyone else any answers ?0

I did try to reply to @Emptychangejar but my reply has since vanished into the depths of hyber space! Now after reading the comment from @Kittykatuk82 as well, I think these share schemes could be the answer! I've used the company share save scheme before but it's never showed up on my account with this info....... & yep, the left over amount (if that's what it is) also is not what I would have expected! I'll wait for a breakdown from the company and see if this amount appears on that, but it's looking more likely that this is where this strange amount and account reference have come from!0

Hope you manage to get to the bottom of it!0
