Peloton - 7 week replacement

Hi,
My Peloton broke after 6 weeks of receiving it, it took someone 3 weeks to come and repair it to be told I need a replacement which will take 7 weeks.

Under the Consumer Rights  act would this be considered within reasonable time considering a nee customer where I live can have one delivered within a week (I purchased one to confirm this and then immediately cancelled)

I have sent numerous emails, spent ages on the phone and online chat and they won’t budge and their customer services is some of the worst I’ve experienced that at this stage I just want me money back as something this expensive should not break after just 6 weeks

if anyone has any any advice on what to do next that would be appreciated

Let me guess. Screen dropped off?

Given the amount of products they have had to recall due to the publicised safety concerns. Is there any wonder repairs are taking time?

No it was an internal fault - this all started before the recall and they have agreed to send me a replacement already I am just wondering if a 7 weeks would be considered reasonable under the consumer rights act considering they are still able to deliver a product to a new customer where I live in 1 week

I don't consider it reasonable.  How did you pay?

I think I read somewhere that Peleton were having trouble with their supply chain - that may explain why it is taking longer than normal.

They say delivery in 1 week but that may not actually happen.

28 days is normally excepted repair/replacement period for non essential products from engineers inspection
Waiting time for engineer visit seems overly long but with covid it would be deemed not totally unreasonable
They've had 1 change to repair I'd personally ask for a refund or give them 14 day to replace with a new one, if your going to wait for replacement just make sure its a new boxed unit they supply and not a refurbished unit
