Inguinal Hernia in puppy

Hi, we've just taken out puppy to the vets for her injections and initial health check before enrolling her onto the insurance but they found what seems to be an inguinal hernia. We've been told that if it doesn't correct itself by the next set of injections she will likley need surgery when she is spayed. They quoted the surgery between £1500 and £2300 depending on the next visit. Does this seem like an appropriate cost for this kind of surgery or is it worth looking at other vets for a better price?

No  harm in asking around if there are other vets available.

That seems a lot to me. Definitely worth checking round.
