Creditsafe Renewal Issues

I've been using Creditsafe since 2008 and renewed with a bit of haggling each and every year.
This year they have not only increased their prices, but now they are stopping me from rolling on any unused consumer credits. They have stated this is because I have not renewed the package in full.
Effectively, I bought 300 and added 600 mid year, so my renewal would require me to spend £1740 which is much higher than usual.
With me not renewing, they said that I will lose all of the unused credits and would therefore be left with nothing.
Has anyone else had similar experiences and can you recommended anywhere else that offers this sort of service? We also use Experian which is really well priced but our underwriters like to compare all customers against two credit reference agencies.

Unfortunately that is how most of these companies work and their account managers are very sales driven so presume they are on commission. They force you to estimate the number of credits you need in advance in the hope you get in wrong and they can retain the payment for the unused credits. We have used Creditsafe for a few years and have managed to rollover credits as we actually needed to buy more of one type of search and less of another. Our spend is higher than what you state so don't know if that makes a difference to how they handle us.
In my experience they were the cheapest service available for the searches we needed so you may struggle to match them.0 -
Realistically CreditSafe is not worth the money, most of the data they have is available on Companies House for free and the rest, well personally, and I do not know anyone else in business who disagrees, is not worth paying for.
