The frustrating part is that they've had several weeks to start looking for suitable accommodation but have only just started looking apparently. We've been informed numerous times that they have to sell and are keen to get going but they seem to be stuck in first gear, possibly as they're elderly (with all due respect).
We do have sufficient savings to pay SDLT but it will leave us with very little left which is obviously not great.0 -

If external forces are making the sale inevitable, with a move from owner-occupation to tenancy, then it may very well be that they really do not WANT to move, and are - perhaps unconsciously - delaying the inevitable.0
