Ideas on how to get house

Times and expectations seemed to have changed since my day when buying a house was our main priority - cheap church wedding, borrowed wedding dress, reception buffet at in-law's house, borrowed Roller, cake from a 'lady in the village' and honeymoon in our new home. Still, we got married for each other, not to impress loads of people on social media8 -
Sorry guys forgot about this thread, so basically I've managed to sort out the shortfall we needed by working extra shifts , we also had some money in another account and didn't realise it was quite that much.
Now the issue is, we put an offer in for 385 which was accepted , great except the mortgage company are saying its an issue because the house is in the cotswolds and we are relocating. They want us to be in our new job for 3 months which the broker wasn't aware of, I said we would be staying with our current employers for now and staying with family for our working days and going home on our days off until the new job dates are confirmed.
My job has a 3 month notice period so would be at least 6 months before I was working up there 3 months and the mortgage company won't accept it as they are worried about us living 2 hours from our jobs but we wouldn't be commuting each day and staying with in laws who currently live 4 doors down from us now.
The broker suggested renting in the meantime but why would we want to give dead money when we can buy a house?
I can afford to pay off 1 of my credit cards so hoping that will open up some more lenders.
I know they have certain criteria but basically if you want to relocate they are saying you have to rent before you can buy somewhere as thats the only option if you have a new job up there.
We know the area really well so seems like wasting money by renting.0
