Hi Guys,
Just before the deadline my wife and I sent off several claims via We Fight Any Claims before realizing we could do it ourselves, we received a payment from our bank but no invoice from WFAC, this was in March 2020 we have now just had an invoice from them for their fee we put the fee money aside but circumstances due to losing my job meant we had to spend some of it, my questions are can they ask for payment after over a year has passed and would they take a smaller fee if we explained to them (not hopeful).

Claims companies are required to tell you that you can do it yourself with no charges before you sign the contract.

It is unlikely they would accept a smaller amount. Possibly but unlikely. They may allow a 12 month repayment plan.

Thank you for all your answers, well we had a bit of a win asked them to knock something off the fee and to my surprise they said yes (maybe they haven't had as much revenue coming in lately).2
