Well wouldn't you know it, the weather forecast was wrong! I decided to feed all the plants in pots at the back before starting the weeding at the front and I felt spit spot on my back! So I retreated indoors but the spits came to nothing and we now have blue sky emerging! This blooming weather I don't ever remember a May this bad. Anyway I am glad of the rest as my legs are giving me gyp. I have just taken some painkillers and will resume a bit of weeding shortly.
NAN I'm sorry Mr Fixit is still not well. It's a worry for you. Let's hope the blood tests reveal the cause. We are like you up here with buses. Just one little bus an hour, and then it's only down into town, If I want to venture further then it's another bus. When you are young and fit and driving you don't look to the future and think what hard work it might be when getting older!
Well the weeding awaits .......!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Morning all,Well I didnt get to post yesterday as I had visitors !. DB who I haven't seen since Xmas day came to pick up a birthday card for SisIL , and stayed for a cuppa, then in the afternoon my cousin came armed with Family Tree stuff, and I gave her some copies of birth certs I'd done. She didnt go until 4.30, we talked that much! Luckily tea was sorted, some meat pie we bought from a farmers market on Sunday ( delicious
)
In between my visitors DH & I managed to get to the hospice shop with my 7 big bin bags of donations. Before I handed them over one lady showed me a list on the door of stuff they weren't accepting.Apart from some hardback cookery ones ( like new) that they wouldn't take everything else passed the test. They were accepting paperback novels only. I showed another lady a popular paperback childrens book that DGS used to love, but no! The 1st lady was very apologetic but the 2nd never cracked a smile and looked like she didnt want to be there, and didn't say thanks for the bags either & there was some good stuff in too from DS. Ah well perhaps she was having a bad day.
TA I'm the same too with 1 bus an hour into town, but I'm looking forward to my bus pass in a few months. Nanny hope Mr Fixit feels better soon. Hugs to Gers & DM too.I must go and catch up on yesterdays thread. Good days all x

Evening everyone
Just been having a catch up. I went for a walk on the beach with DD, little one and their puppy after work. Little one 'needed' to paddle in the rather cold North Sea - she ended up with her wellies full of water and my shoes and socks were soaked through! We collected some nice flat stones to paint one day. It started to rain just as we arrived home - I put my pyjamas straight on!
