Buying on line with a credit card, what the order/invoice should show

Hi, I have bought from a well known High Street store that sells stationery, games, toys and handicrafts. As it's on line I pay by my Credit Card. This time and the last time I purchased from them the amount that showed on the completed order was the full amount of the order. Each time I have redeemed some Reward Points equalling a monetary amount from their scheme and also a discount voucher, this then means I have a small discount. However the ordering process does not show the reduced amount I am authorising to pay. The first time I did this last year I queried the difference and was told that the company does not have a system to show the reduced amount, also when the goods arrive they do not have a delivery note to match the goods against. When I queried that I was told the company has gone paperless with regard to that. But if requested they will send a copy of the invoice to me by email, and that I could check the order against my computer at home.
Should this company be showing their customers the amount that will be taken from their bank account before the order is processed. I'd be grateful if someone could advise me please.
Thanks in advance.

There are many ways how split payments can be shown and accounted for. It certainly isnt uncommon for the invoice to show the total price to be paid and the fact you paid £5 with points and £70 with card is irrelevant. You would hope their system knows the split behind the scenes so if you send the items back they know what to credit where.1

Thank you @Sandtree. I understand what you say about hoping their system would show the split. But should the actual amount that I would be agreeing to pay on my credit card be shown on the screen before I actually put in all my card details and hit that final button. As my last order came to £15.99 but I actually was charged £14.40. I know this is only a small amount but I always thought that it should always show the actual amount being paid also to show any discount that has been given.
I'm probably not explaining myself that well, But there are times when there will be a difference in the amount shown on screen to the amount actually being taken from my card.

It would certainly be good practice to, and I've not come across those that dont, but in theory you are authorising up to an amount to be paid and therefore as the amounts being collected are below the authorisation amount its not necessarily a technical issue.
Back in the good old days of the internet there used to be a lot of companies with workarounds and websites no way near as functional as they wanted to appear etc but in the most part those days are behind us.1 -
thanks again @Sandtree. I suppose I've been spoilt by other on line shops always showing the discounted price before I've entered my card details. Like I said they are small amounts, so maybe not too much to worry about. but as O had also entered a money off code as well and thought it had gone through I needed to know what had happened as the exact amount didn't include the discount voucher at all. Thanks again for helping/advising.
