Rust on discs

Hi

I've just noticed on my wifes car what looks like rust on her brake discs. Is this something I need to worry about?

Thanks

Just been hosed / rained ?
Quite normal and nothing to worry about.  As soon as you hit the brakes for the first time it will be gone.  Discs are pretty low quality cast iron and rust quickly when exposed to damp.
  • Definitely been raining on/off for the last few days. Good to hear they will sort themselves out. Slightly worried we were going to have to fork out on new ones!
  • It will disappear 100 yards down the road. It’s completely normal, will also happen overnight.
