So all plans cancelled because of the weather warning today. I'm off work and has given me the time to relax and reorganise.
On my previous post, I was sharing how I was looking for ways to hide money away for my self-care funds - there may be hints of travel this year, plus, a long overdue dental work. I happened to come across another MSE challenge mainly for debts/savings, but since I have sorted my direct debits on that, I didn't want to confuse myself further and scrapped the idea immediately.
Well, it seems I can apply the MSE 1% challenge for my pots. Less stress but gives me time to build on something. I think. I just need to think of the extra ways to fund that part instead. Extra savings, portions of my resell items (if I'm lucky)... Even if it means giving up something in lieu of adding towards the fund. Sounds like a good idea right? I'm constantly reading through the board to see if I have missed any ideas that I can use
We'll see. Stay safe today and over the weekend!

PS: I changed my mind... I may have found another way to fund my other activities after looking at the Tilly Tidy page on the challenges board. I never realised what it meant until now - all this time I thought it had something to do with "tidying"
It obviously isn't. On top of my bank rounding up spare changes, I think this is a better way to do it for my extra funds. I just need to figure whether I should do it daily or monthly. My Debt Free Diary: Virgo In Pursuit

But the rounds up are set aside for my Christmas funds so I'll leave it as it is. I am intentionally trying to do daily with the hopes of trying the £5 rounds each day but not as consistent yet.

I can’t wait for payday! It has been a short month and I forecasted how much my money will last this month but to see it trickling with only a few days to go makes me a little anxious. Even though I know for I fact that I will be fine! The only good thing is because I overestimated and have overpaid each credit card and one savings pot. Tilly Tidy too!
If it’s to make myself feel better, why not…
Also, I cancelled my gym membership and opted for a class fitness membership instead. Although it’s a bit expensive, I can see myself being more engaged on this one. I am desperate to shed excess weight and returning to my usual fitness levels. I am also at the age that if I'm not careful with myself now, it might be irreversible for my future. It’s a boxing class that I’m committing for the next three months and with the February offers running - I may have just got my third month free! Wish me luck.
PS: I am writing this in the early hours because I fell into danger nap territory earlier. I swear having an admin day makes me more exhausted than being on the shop floor.

I have under £10 in my main account and about £4 in my weekly spends which resets on Friday. Only two days to go but it feels very uncomfortable 😬
Boxing sounds really fun! I puy jn 6-7 pounds over Christmas and I find it really difficult to lose them. I like running and do a bit of that but my main issue is snacking, I comfort eat especially when I have a bad day at work. And you can't outrun a bad diet!
I don't think you ever said but I always thought you were younger than me, I was born the year "Careless whisper" was in the charts 😀01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

I'm just a few years younger than you, @jokono
I comfort eat too! That's why I have been extra careful with my takeaways (it's "diet" and money saving down the drain at the time).
Like everything else, I am just been overthinking and need to start looking after myself before I regret it. I tend to get complacent if it's not at the top of my goals. And to be honest, I do really want to feel good and look good by summer time, I'm at heaviest at present
Despite the overthinking, I actually managed to show up for my first session today and got my freebies. Yay!My Debt Free Diary: Virgo In Pursuit
