I don't suppose it matters what time you enter.  But deep down I suspect anyone who enters using the free route (me!)  doesn't stand a chance - though I would love to be proved wrong.  It's something I've thought ever since they cut the amount of free entries down to one.  They already know the details of the winner's call, as they often say what time they entered - so they can presumably also tell what entries were paid for and what are free.  I just think they could easily filter out the freebies?

But - I still enter every day and have done for ages!!!  I would love to give myself better odds by paying for more entries, but just can't afford it. ☹☹☹

I won a couple of years ago with a free entry, as have a number of others on the Forum (see the thread in ' I Won...', but now that we are restricted to one free entry per day the odds are more against a free entry winning. However, all entries are equally likely to win.

Thanks for the info guys.  Yeh, I guess I'm just being pessimistic.  I know it's a long shot to get the call anyway, but it just feels even more unlikely now they've cut the free entries to just one. And I haven't seen any big winners on here since the free entries have been reduced.  But well done @pate-ci0 on your win a couple of years ago - must have been a great moment!

Wednesday- 4 rings lady hello, lady not too good has been doing too much work in garden, think mentioned knees ache. 

  Presenter says to lady that she entered cash register 11am this morning, did lady know amount when she entered, lady agrees and says would you like amount £104,000. Lady says not feeling too bad now call her 2 daughters first. Presenter says to lady she can ring daughters as she has won £104,000, lady replies thank you, no idea will do with money did not expected to win, never do. 

  Presenter says it was 4 rings another ring and would have had to ring off

Thursday- 4 rings nearly to 5th ring, gent hello, at work bank mailroom, no exciting plans for summer and lifesaver if won, pint to sink in probably lager gives £105,000, and wins. Gent says amazing, lifesaver speechless not a windup is it, share good news with mum and girlfriend, but sit down for it to sink. Gent finishes work 5pm finish, presenter asks about gent boss, will he take think she said boss for a drink.
  Gent does not know do with winning, giggling will have to think about it, thought it was a windup at first, absolute diamond, thank you best phone call ever.

Friday- presenter says payout will be today if won. 

  2 rings gent hello, definitely surprised to hear from cash register, taking day off too hot to work, do groundwork awful lot of digging. Weekend plans no after this conversation then will.    

  Gent says waiting for presenter to ask him amount, presenter asks amount gent gives £110,000.  Presenter says gent not expecting take day off work and call from stranger giving you £110,000, says congratulations to gent.  

   Gent with money take early retirement, expecting to work think he said he popped. Presenter confirms money in gent’s bank account today. Gent will spend on holiday, car and just relax. 

  Presenter- Monday’s amount bigger than today’s £110,000

Monday - 4th ring lady hello, is wonderful today and if presenter gives her some good news, is with husband. 

  Lady entered cash register today 11.11am to tie in with cash register, just had an inkling. Presenter asks lady today’s amount and lady gives £111,111p and wins. Lady says she had weird premonition and been feeling weird all day, bit of vertigo and just all over the place. 

  Lady says such good news she has won, got text with amount and just thought I am going to wait till 11.11am to enter, and did so after sorting some washing out. 

  Money - bit towards daughter getting married in 2 years, venue organise, buy wedding dress, pay mortgage off, list is endless, treat boyfriend instead of him treating me. 

- how random is that the entry drawn entered 11.11am today, seems fixed - just my opinion!!

Sorry typo - lady picked up 3rd ring. 

  Strange with today’s call, lady said at start of call she had husband with her and end of call said she would treat her boyfriend instead of him treating her.

I agree that it does seems odd, but maybe she's recently separated, but in her mind still calls her husband her husband and they perhaps share the house still, and he's there visiting, but she also has a boyfriend? Or, for all we know, perhaps it's an "open" marriage.

I agree, though, quite suspect, but I doubt we'll ever really know the answers.

Very lucky lady. Still got my fingers crossed daily that I'll win a sum like that! Life changing.

Nothing suspicious....I've just listened again & she didn't say boyfriend she said "I can treat my husband instead of him treating me".
