For sure this has been already asked but 66 pages are a bit too much to go through... Do they call from a private number or a visible one? Thank you :)

Feel the same way.  I wonder, alot of the times they say the winning entrant entered around 10-15 mins before closing, makes me wonder if I should follow that example. Then again I worry I might forget to enter altogether.
I don't suppose it matters what time you enter.  But deep down I suspect anyone who enters using the free route (me!)  doesn't stand a chance - though I would love to be proved wrong.  It's something I've thought ever since they cut the amount of free entries down to one.  They already know the details of the winner's call, as they often say what time they entered - so they can presumably also tell what entries were paid for and what are free.  I just think they could easily filter out the freebies?

But - I still enter every day and have done for ages!!!  I would love to give myself better odds by paying for more entries, but just can't afford it. ☹☹☹

From the "make me a winner thread"

Just to emphasise that it really makes no difference if a free or paid entry is chosen as a winner

From the blurb on site that handles some/all Bauer Media competitions among other things

*****'s  Winner Picker imports text, postal, online and IVR* competition entries and will quickly select a winner so this can be announced on air immediately. The platform ensures that winners are picked randomly, making the whole process transparent, compliant and efficient.

*I looked it up Interactive voice response or IVR is an automated business phone system feature that interacts with callers and gathers information by giving them choices via a menu

When ITV accidentally omitted a very small number of free entries it was ITV who discovered and self-reported the issue when they discovered it some time later - there would be no point in deliberately omitting the free entries as it makes no difference how a winner actually entered and being able to ovoid GC control allows these competitions to run as they do (the smaller on-line "raffle" type things may be another matter)
