If it went straight to voicemail and didn't ring at all, I'm guessing either:
 - their mobile was switched off
 - they didn't have any network coverage (hopefully not, as EE has the best network coverage in the UK ) or,
 - they were on a call and don't have Call Waiting switched on to let them know that someone else was calling them.

I've just checked mine and my Call Waiting is definitely switched on !!

It rang nearly a full 1 ring before it went to the voicemail, presenter did say he thought it rang once before going to voicemail for whatever reason don’t know whether out of service or someone just dropped the call

Day 6 - 3 rings gent picks up, presenter asks him how he is. Gent says is alright and think he said an engineer working on a housing estate, few months off due to I think he said lockdown then back doing emergency work and now full time. Is divorced 3 kids. Gent says would love to go away normally go to Benidorm places like that. 
  Gent gives correct £100,000.00p and wins. Gent says you are  joking to presenter,  also says no way,  wow mate and thank you very much. Winner said a females name he was going to ring not sure if he said she was his partner or wife. Presenter says winner can go on holiday now further than Benidorm.

Day 7 - 5 rings no pick up, somebody missed out on winning £20,000.00p. Presenter says lets double amount for tomorrow.

Day 8- 4 rings lady picks up, presenter asks how she is, lady says oh my goodness and she is good thank you. Presenter says it was just another half a second before 5th ring.  

  Lady says is working from home, is an administrator and not in office as of yet but later in year. 
  Lady gives correct £40,000.00 and wins. 

  Presenter asks lady what she will do with money, lady says it is unbelievable and waiting for this call all the time she has been working from home. Presenter I think said that is nearly a year and half lockdown. Lady says absolutely brilliant, she is on a family chat and she will go on this to let her family know of her win. Lady says is shaking like mad love it. 
  Presenter says let us double tomorrow’s amount and announces tomorrow’s amount.        Tomorrow’s amount-£80,000.00p       £676,666.68p -still left to win (I calculated this figure)

Day 9 - presenter says this summer £2million won so far. 
   5 rings no answer, missed phone call has cost somebody £80,000.00p. 

  Presenter announces tomorrow’s amount £100,000.00p.
