There have definitely been a few MSE member winners in that time who have posted to say that they won.pate-ci0 said:There have been an number of threads about the Cash Register radio comps, they have been running for a few years now in various formats, and certainly quite a few MSE members have won and commented over the years (myself included). I am sure others in MSE have also won but do not feel that they want to divulge the information for various legitimate reasons. So don't mind the odds, enter and hope for the best - just remember the amount each day and for goodness sake answer the phone within 5 rings!
BTW, I won just under £24,000 using the free entry method (I never pay to enter).
…. There have also been a fair few who’ve missed calls at 15:00 & desperately trying to find out if it was the radio station or not ….Wins - £48k 2019, £5k 2020, £1000 2021, £280 2022 ... £196k to the £1/4 million target ...5 -
That's a very nice sum but it is far less than the prizes on offer now and the number of people who pay to enter rises as prizes get bigger (one reason ITV switched to fewer but bigger prizes) and is demonstrated by various lotteries around the world - while free entries can still win these bigger radio prizes they make up a far smaller proportion of the total number of entries so overall it is less likely, but not impossible, there will be free winners of a really big prize.pate-ci0 said:There have been an number of threads about the Cash Register radio comps, they have been running for a few years now in various formats, and certainly quite a few MSE members have won and commented over the years (myself included). You're quite right, with bigger prizes the odds will be worse for any one individual to win, but the way I look at it is that the chances of winning are pretty slim in the first place and as with any competition I enter, it's a matter of 'be in it to win it' so enter and forget and go onto the next comp. (Except in this case, do NOT forget!!)mjm3346 said:

Even if 3-500,000 people entered each day (all using their full quota of online entires) it’s still so much better odds than the crazy lottery! 🤞You can't always get what you want... but if you try sometimes, well, you just might find.. you get what you need.1

I do not believe that they call someone every day. It is guaranteed that there will be a £200,000 winner on Friday so they is no chance of anyone winning before then. I think they might call one of their team that they know will not answer to fool peopleGONE ENGLAND3
