The Langham David Wilson homes

Options
Hi, we were due to view a show home today but it got cancelled. We have also realised they haven't got a show home for The Langham and there isn't one in our area either. Does anyone have any photos or advice/feedback for this type of house.
I'm already daunted by buying off plan and to learn there isn't even a show home to look at is making it worse.
Any comments gratefully received.
Thank you

Do they not have any other sites nearby that might have one, or I know not the same, but maybe look on youtube, I would have thought there'd be some house tours on there?

If they don't have a show home, what had you booked to view before it was cancelled?

Try below link but I would be wary without actually seeing something too. It wouldn’t fill me with confidence that they booked and then cancelled something that wasn’t possible in the first place. Maybe they can advise of an alternative if nothing currently exists.

Edited to add: Check reviews and experiences (not just on main review sites) but people usually share bad experiences online via here or Twitter, for example. Also make sure it is a freehold house you are buying as some new home developers have been in the press for leasehold issues on houses. Buyer beware, as they say.

I look found their on site sales team to be really poor when I viewed them. Their reputation isn’t so bad though. Usually if you hashtag the builders name on insta you can find people with their homes and message them.

Surely, however far you need to travel, you have to see a show home? You are spending life-changing sums of money, after all. You'll be paying off the mortgage for decades.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
  • If you are on Instagram search things like #dwlanhgam #davidwilsonlangham #dwhlangham ... although I appreciate it’s not the same as seeing the place yourself first hand.

There will be a show home to view on site (usually 2 or 3), just not of the same house type.

For what it is worth we bought our David Wilson new build a couple of years ago and are really happy with it. We bought the Hatton house type.

Look for second hand ones for sale on other previous developments.

Thank you for all the replies, I have since found out The Langham also goes by other names such as The Washford, The Archford and The Dawley. Turns out there is a Washford show house not too far away. Thanks again.
