Smart Meter - Make/Model - Some better than others?

That would be my guess... of course that just means we should see the same problems when the 'good' batteries eventually go...

One would hope that by the time batteries are begiining to fade that the suppliers would have a rolling programme to replace them (or the meter) in a timely fashion. As they are supposed to have a life of around ten years then it wouldn't be all that difficult to sort it out but I suspect that it will come as a big surprise to a lot of companies, especially the smaller ones.MWT said:That would be my guess... of course that just means we should see the same problems when the 'good' batteries eventually go...
However if it's anytthing like the abysmal rollout fiasco then I'm sure we can all look forward to the ensuing shambles when meters start dyng all over the place and there's a shortage of batteries or expertise and resources to change them. There's always an unintended consequence that doesn't get thought out until it hits the fan.
