Depositing € EUR Cash in UK

Hi.

I was wondering if there’s a EUR € current account in the UK where one can deposit Euro cash? I have a Starling current account (have the Euro account with them) but sadly I cannot deposit Euro cash into that account (hoping that they will start accepting Euro cash deposits soon).

The only other way (that I’m aware of) is to change the cash into GBP and then make a deposit in Sterling.

However, is there any way I can deposit Euro cash in the UK without having to exchange it?

Thank you for reading.

Barclays and HSBC have Euro accounts:
Euro Bank Account | Open Euro Bank Account In The UK | Barclays
Currency Account | Foreign Currency Account - HSBC UK
Both require that you have a sterling account with them first.
There may be others. Try Googling "deposit euro cash uk" or similar.

HSBC don’t let you pay in cash, although you can withdraw it.

Barclays allow you to both pay in and withdraw euro cash.

Other than Starling, Fineco and Wise, I’m not aware of any other free euro accounts (and none of those three allow any cash transactions at all).

You may be able open euro accounts with international arms of other banks, but this is likely to come at a cost and they may not offer cash services. Premier tier customers may also qualify for special accounts not available to standard customers. I haven’t looked into it myself as I wouldn’t qualify for those anyway.

A travel exchange may be able to buy your Euros for Pounds.

Be prepared to provide proof for the source of the Euros.
