Hasting Direct Premier (Car Insurance) - thoughts?

Hi there, it's that time of year where I have to search for car insurance.
I got my renewal from Admiral, and after haggling I got it down to be £35 cheaper than last year for same cover.
However, I have done a comparison on couple search engines, and whilst there are cheaper ones, most I have never heard of.
Hasting Direct is the only one I recognise and the Premier policy seems to have a good level of cover.
I am just wondering if anyone has insured with Hastings Direct, and if so, what was your experience like with them? Were they easy to get hold of? How did they deal with claims, or complaints? Did they try rip you off at Renewal?
Thanks in advance.

Who cares about renewal pricing unless you're highly limited in the insurers that will cover you? Shop around each year is the best approach.0

yep, that is what i am doing.... but you gotta be careful with some of the cheapest ones because they either have lots of exclusions in the policy, or the customer services are not very good.0

Daughter had that policy last year, £7 or £12 dearer than the basic cover so seemed a win win with the additional extras included.Experience with them, quoted on comparison site and paid... Simple as that nothing more, never needed to contact them further.Although the renewal was more than the previous years premium, email from the comparison site gave a far cheaper price
but still with the premier policy so as always double check renewals.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...1
