Good morning all; looks drizzly out there today
Lovely to hear that people are getting out and about more. We had an afternoon geocaching in Sandy, Beds, yesterday and I'd like to go back and visit the RSPB place there a bit later in the year. DH used to go over that way for work occasionally but had to be reminded of the route as its been a while!
Also went to Grafham Water earlier in the week. Not been there before but will certainly go again; lovely place.
No real plans for today but we are out of cake - shock, horrors! - so might have to get baking. DH wants to watch the Cup Final later but that doesn't appeal to me at all so will have to busy myself elsewhere.
Have a good day everyone; thinking of all those with poorly relatives and other problems.12 -
Morning, hugs if you need one. Gers thankful you had another peaceful day and that the dental treatment went ok.
Its a dullish morning, I have towels in the washer DB tells me that it will rain later, so I may have to finish them off in the dryer. DB has just had the back door open, its blooming cold for May.
Meat and potato pie on the menu tonight by request.......I rarely make pastry these days, we will see how it turns out.
Gardener was here yesterday he helped DB put a new tap on the shed water butt after we emptied the water into other barrels, he has just announced he has the pitter patters, so a light day for him, they can last up to 12 hours. No one seems bothered about then except me!
So supper meat and spud pie with veggies, fruit and cream for dessert.9 -
Morning all
Thanks for the thread Scarlet and hugs to all those in need.
Damp and drizzly here, Beano has had his first walk and Steve is still in bed.
Have a good day everyone.

Hello all, another dreary wet weather day here. The grass has grown and needs cutting and the shrub stumps need pulling out but it's far too wet at present. A few years ago I would have donned the wet weather gear and got on with things, but now I've turned in to a delicate little flower, probably a cauliflower 🥦😂Thanks Scarlett I did sleep most of the night (finally) and only two breaks. I think I was exhausted 🥱Today I've still got a bit of shopping to put away and rotate the tins, I had to play tetris in the freezer yesterday just to get the ice cream in. However I took out a tub of leftover chicken stir fry and some belly pork, so I'll cook the pork in my own sweet and sour sauce and then cook egg fried rice to go with it.... tea sorted, I've got my own chinese takeaway !I've emptied the DW and cleaned down the kitchen worktops, so there's just a bit of tiding away in the dining room to do too now.Hope everyone has a good day.taff I thought you wouldn't use just a normal hammer !Snoozer I hope Steve is ok today, hope you're ok too after your jab.Gers well done on having all that done at the same time. Hope you have very little pain and DM has a peaceful day.Bella fingers crossed everything falls into place by the 3rd.Hugs to all the poorly ones, family members and Sparkle.Take care all, keep well.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently13

Wicked Lady, I wish I'd known, we live there, let me know if you do visit the RSPB, maybe we could meet for a cuppa.9

Snoozer; we are likely to return as there is a good run of caches along Stratford Road. I will let you know if I visit the RSPB; DH isn't keen so I'll come by myself and we could certainly meet up for a cuppa!

Late greetings from me, we had an early start to go and watch DGS play footie, then when that ended DH had to go and collect a cutting machine near Manchester so I went back with DS2 & DGS. DS2 asked if I minded whether he went to get his hair cut as I could stay with DGS so he went off & I did him some ironing while young 'un watched TV.He also did a quick shop at a1di
so by the time we left it was well after our usual lunchtime. Just had a chilled afternoon.
Taff I made the flatbreads last night, very tasty but my rolling technique left a lot to be desiredI need more practise. Thanks for sharing the recipe.
TA- yes I forgot you were in a similar situation. The local papers have been full of pics showing long queues at vax centres as they are offering them to younger people who just turned up yesterday and today. Glad Sparkle is feeling better.
Gers hope you keep pain free, at least you have avoided the wait.Bella hope the sale moves on smoothly.Right better get the tea on,moussaka tonightTake care all x
