DRO creditors

Good evening you lovely people

Just a quick question to run past you, in case i need to act further.
I am currently in a DRO, due to finish in September, all was fine amd straight forward. I received an email from a completely different company saying my debt has been passed on to them now and want to arrange a repayment plan.
When i set up the DRO i was dealing with a different collection agent, so my DRO included them, not this new company.
I have emailed them to say i am in a debt relief order and my number, so they can stop chasing me.
Do i need to do anything else as i don't want problems further down the line.
Thanks for your amazing help

Really the DRO should have listed the owner of the debt, not the collection agency, but that was something the Intermediary should have done.

What you have done is correct - tell them that it's in a DRO

Thanks fatbelly,  i just double checked my DRO form and most of them are the collection agencies and some are the debt owners, i have all emails back and forth with stepchange and thats what they aaked for at the time.
I hope it is all right then 😳😳

It's covered anyway because it's clear what the debt is.

It just means the info hasn't got through to the owner.

A couple of my debts were passed to a collections agency about a month into my DRO, I contacted the collections agency told them I was in a DRO, gave them the number and they said they'd contact the original creditor. I contacted the original creditors myself and they requested the debt be passed back to them and it was all sorted
